Copper Amino Isolate Serum
We are, by nature, fairly cynical when it comes to hi-tech beauty potions but we recently tried NIOD’s Copper Amino Isolate Serum on the recommendation of a friend. It claims to keep skin “in an ongoing heightened state of repair” which we were sceptical about until the serum started to have an effect, making our skin look smoother, after only three days. After 10 days, we ditched our tinted moisturiser too, as our face seemed to look clear and radiant enough not to need it. It was more even toned, with fewer lines and finer pores too. Apparently, the change in our complexion was down to the presence of pure Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu). Many other topical anti-ageing products contain variations of copper peptides but not in such high amounts. The serum is a bright blue colour, reminiscent of the Copper Sulphate Solution we remember from chemistry lessons. The formulation we used needed to be kept in the fridge once it was mixed with an activator but we understand NIOD has now produced a version of the serum that doesn’t need to be refrigerated. And at £38 for 15ml, this serum outperforms many more expensive options. We can’t recommend it highly enough.
Price: £38 for 15ml, £68 for 30ml
